I often think of all kinds on projects that i will never finish. Tulip sent me a text today asking if I would bring him a couple lbs of Deer Burger and I have been thinking I really need to make a trip out to deer camp and spread some wheat, fill up the corn feeders and lay out some salt blocks...
Half the fun for me at deer camp is the cooking, same thing goes with camping when wheeling. (I never camp to just camp) I think that's because I have so many other interests.
But back on topic, thinking about deer camp... I have been wanting to build a decent Chuck Box for a while now. Mostly the reason I haven't is because if you gave me 4 equal length board and nails I could not build you a box... go figure??? So I started looking at some google searches and came up with a couple I really liked and that took me to the link below... As some of you know I LOVE my Lodge 14 inch cast iron skillet. It goes with me everywhere and I have others including 3 Dutch Ovens... My Skillet is seasoned as good as any Granny has but I would like to spend more time with my Dutch Ovens. The standard, Chili, Stew, Brown Beans and such are easy but I also like cooking biscuits in the morning over a camp fire... I have always wanted to cook thinks like Cakes, Pizzas and Pies in my Dutch Oven...
Anyway, Here is the site. http://forums.idos.org/ and I think I will farm out my Chuck Box to the local cabinet guy... I will add my personal touches to it after I get it though...
